The price can be fixed by phone, and you will then receive a confirmation email with a summary of the transaction and the documents to sign. Once the order is confirmed, the price cannot be changed: Italpreziosi keeps the price locked pending delivery of the metal.
Upon receiving the signed documents, we arrange collection via security courier, retrieval from deposit, or delivery to our headquarters. Once the goods are received, conformity checks are performed and, if there are no discrepancies, payment is made to the customer by bank transfer.
Yes. Italpreziosi also buys gold bars and coins from other operators, provided they meet the requirements of the Italian Investment Gold Law (Law 7/2000), namely:
– bars weighing more than 1 gram, with fineness equal to or greater than 995/1000 and a recognisable hallmark;
– gold coins with fineness equal to or greater than 900/1000, minted after 1800 with current or former legal tender status in the country of origin.
Once we receive the signed order documents, we arrange collection by an armoured security courier. The service costs around €60 (insurance included), with surcharges for islands and for values over approximately €80,000.
The collection cost is deducted from the final sale price, so no advance payment is required.
The specialised courier will call to schedule pickup. At pickup, a numbered tamper-evident bag is provided in which to place the metals; the bag is sealed together with the courier and an accompanying document is completed. From that moment, the metals travel in total safety with full insurance coverage.
